Aldi pick iForce for new e-commerce operation

Aldi has awarded iForce a long-term contract to deliver a range of fulfilment services for Aldi’s non-food e-commerce platform.

ALDI, CENTRAL PARKAldi revealed plans to launch an e-commerce operation in September last year. The new web site will start by selling wines, followed by non-food “Specialbuys” later in the year.

The retailer is using iForce Gateway, a fulfilment solution from iForce’s multi-client warehouse in Corby, Northamptonshire.

Aldi is also using iForce Pathfinder, a carrier management solution support by Route Genie Software.

“Our ecommerce platform is a key part of our long-term strategy to make award-winning quality at everyday low prices available to as many people as possible,” said Jonathan Neale, joint managing director of corporate buying at Aldi.
